UL is the safety specification mark, and UL is a large intermediary in the USA specializing in safety certification. And 2468 is a type of UL 758 cable.
UL2468 cable is a standard flat ribbon cable with dual UL and CUL safety certification, also known as FRC cable. It is a well-known PVC insulated flat ribbon cable that falls under the UL and CUL cables category. Insulated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rated at 80°C and 300V, passes UL VW-1&CUL FT1 or FT2 flame test. Using tinned, bare, stranded, or solid copper as conductors, the product is flexible, acid-resistant, oil-resistant, moisture-resistant, and mold resistant. The uniform thickness of the cable insulation ensures easy stripping and cutting. Environmentally tested to RoHS certification.
UL2468 cables are available with different types of conductors. They are usually classified into three types: AS, TS, and TC.
AS = Annealed Stranded, without plating.
TS = Tinned Stranded, where all copper cables are tinned before being stranded.
TC = Top Coated, where all copper cables are first stranded together before being tinned.
Conductor sizes are available from 32AWG to 16AWG, and pin counts from 2P to 150P. Insulation colors will be determined on request. The most common are black and grey.

UL2468 Cable End Treatment
UL2468 cable will be cut and terminated, usually stripped, prior to wiring. Some specialist manufacturers offer such a process. However, due to machine limitations, most factories cannot handle very short stripped cables. The stripping process can easily damage short cable bodies. At Delightfire cable plants, this problem is well solved. Very short lengths of UL 2468 can be run successfully on request.
Q: I need a higher temperature rating similar to UL2468. Is this possible?
A: Yes, the similar UL2468 has a higher temperature rating. The UL2468 is rated at 80 °C, and another item, the UL2464, is rated at 80 °C. UL2468 and UL2464 have the same voltage rating of 300 V.
Q: What are the points to look for when buying UL2468 cable?
A: Firstly, look at the packaging: there should be information such as specification, length, date, factory name, and address. The label and print should be clear.
Secondly, look at the copper color: qualified copper-core cable should be purple-red, shiny, and soft to the touch. Poor quality is purple, white, or yellowish.
Thirdly, look at the insulation: the poor-quality cable insulation layer looks very thick. In fact, slightly pressed, the pressure will be white, and the powder will fall.
